The SSR Revolutionary Armed Forces (SSR-RAF) consist of ground forces (SSR-A), naval forces (SSR-N), an air force (SSR-AF) and air defence forces (SSR-ADF), and paramilitary bodies including the Territorial Defence Army (TDA) and Youth Pioneer Army (YPA).
The armed forces has long been the most powerful institution in the SSR Union and high-ranking generals are believed to play crucial roles in all conceivable succession scenarios. The military controls the economy through the management of enterprises liason and Corporations in key economic sectors.The military is also Prime Minister Mr. Celxor's power base. In numerous speeches, Mr. Celxor has emphasized the military’s role as a people's partner.
Organisation
Central Army (CA)
The Central Army (SSR-CA) maintains the standing and paramilitary defences of all SSR territory with a combined arms (SSR-A,N,AF and ADF) infrastructure including TDA and YPA local units.
The CA operates at maintenance levels during peace time and acts as a policing force within national boundaries. The CA maintains a flexible air transport capability enabling the Army to project power abroad in support of the Expedition Force (REF).
Revolutionary Expedition Force (REF)
The REF conducts independent operations in an over-seas capacity maintaining self supporting infrastructure for prolonged operations abroad. The REF is structured in a much more Offensive stance and conducts confrontational, projections of power, show of force and territorial aggressive defence mission plans.
As an completely Independent structure the REF can and does maintain a defensive network which can support defensive operations.
Tactical Supply Wing (TSW)
TSW falls under the control of the Air Force although Army and Naval liaison personnel are posted to the unit. The TSW develop supply chain and Airlift/Drop capabilities in support of all SSR Armed Forces over-seas or homeland during peace and War.
